The trucks now only move at regular speed when you move, and the scenario it took place in was wild: You have you jump across a series of trucks until they ride off of a bridge, jump off, activate the slow motion power, jump on another set of moving trucks below you, and then make your way through an obstacle course beyond that. The demo I played also had a particular treat in the form of Super Truck mode, a level combining Clustertruck and Superhot that started out as an April Fool’s joke, but has now become a full-on part of the game, which is particularly cool. That said, it does fall victim to the occasional bout of iffiness that comes with first-person platforming, where you have some difficulty judging where you may land. It all controls quite well, and constantly rewards quick timing and preparedness.
Does it make for in absolute mess of twisted metal crashing all around you, getting in your way and making for trickier jumps? Naturally, but it never really feels unfair.
